Good morning,

now everything has been painted twice, but this paint is turning into a disaster... in the raking light you can clearly see how wide the roller was.
The paint is a recommendation from the specialist retailer and was rolled wet-on-wet by my painter and colleague. 80€ net for a bucket is actually not really cheap either.

What paints have you had good experiences with? My painter wants to go to the specialist retailer tomorrow and explain the problem, we had that before too, but not so bad, and negotiate a bucket of new paint. So cover everything again and hang it up, I'm really going crazy. It's just incredibly annoying that you can't even finish.

Now we don't see how it looks in reality, but Streiflich is and remains a b*tch. If it really has to get good, you have to spray. Is there additional task lighting in the kitchen? This type of indirect lighting would not be enough for me there.

I have to think of UFOs, time holes... I still find them too enormous in their size. But I think it's great when someone steps out of line and puts a lot of passion into their somewhat different idea to make the idea become real. Call it a labor of love. It probably becomes a life's work if you have to paint again.

Are the stripes only visible in daylight?

In the grazing light, you can clearly see how wide the roller was.

If the cause of the streaks is that the paint doesn’t properly cover, a third coat might help.
If the paint “only” casts shadows, it wasn’t applied evenly.

I don’t know if there are significant differences in the consistency of wall paints, but I’ve learned that painting using the “cross system” requires some skill and discipline...

A simple trick to my taste can also be to say:

“Whatever – I’ll just leave it like this now!”

The end of January has passed and everything has been shut down for a week. Thanks to the (expensive) construction heater, electrical and plumbing work have already started, an update on this will follow later.
