I just checked the pictures: The excavator started on April 3rd. So, basically a little more than 8 months from start to move-in. Due to individual contracts and split-level (more complex earthworks), it all took a bit longer than on a flat lot (without a basement) and planning with a general contractor. From a coordination perspective, some things could have been done much faster, which always bothered me. But never mind.

Thanks. Check here:

Meanwhile, we have rotated the living room furniture, now the couch is basically on the right wall in the plan. The architect had already suggested this in the planning, but my wife actually didn’t want it. When we first stood in the shell, we quickly changed our minds, just in time to at least lay part of the cables for TV + speakers through the ceiling.

Also, we planned the entrance airlock (due to drafts from the open staircase) and in front of the guest WC (soundproofing, so to speak ) as optional glass walls, but they won’t be implemented for now.

What is the double socket directly next to the toilet intended for?

My wife likes to sit down when blow-drying her hair, and due to the small bathroom, it will probably come down to her sitting on the toilet. And if there is already electricity there, I’d rather install a double socket right away.

The garden shed belongs to the neighbor. But it's true, we are right by the water.

Dear friends of house construction,

our double garage has just been delivered. Everything went perfectly.

Now all that's missing is the team for the installation of the covers and the [Attika].

Best regards

Axel
