Behind the house there is still a 5m wide strip of lawn... But yes - this is our garden and our house and there just wasn't anything more possible

Our "garden" will be even smaller – and I am grateful for that. I need a raised bed, space for my tomatoes, and a nice terrace. Everything else is just more work. We are both employed and happy when we don't have more tasks to do. What doesn't become a terrace, raised bed, or tomato bed for us either gets lava gravel and perennials or low-maintenance, walkable ground cover, and that's it.

(next to it is the property of my soon-to-be 78-year-old mother, the duty remains; our tiny garden may be pure pleasure)

Our outdoor area will start next week or the week after next. This year: wall, lawns, terrace, filling entrance and courtyard. Creating a perennial bed. Courtyard paving, terrace slope 2019. Clean slope, plant etc. 2020. The disadvantage of a large area and a good garden landscaper who unfortunately works alone.

That's more than enough. With planting and lawn it will look bigger anyway. 6 meters behind the house are enough for the kids, in the corner the beds will grow over the years. It will be very cozy and pretty in 10 years.

I just hope that back there it is not social housing...
