In the line of sight, exactly at the front right corner of the house. The terrace will then also be on the right side of the house.

Although my ramshackle house doesn’t quite fit in this forum, here’s a little before-and-after impression to motivate those who have also tied a bottomless barrel to their leg. More than twenty years ago, we moved in while still renting. By now, it looks pretty nice from the outside, but the place is still far from fully renovated.

why it hasn’t been completely renovated yet?
Well, we lived in a somehow functioning apartment, the upper floor was rented out, we bought the tenants along with it, there was no urgent pressure to act.
After the house was paid off, the money was gone for the time being.
The carpenter we trust also doesn’t have unlimited time for our special jobs.
Overall, we are a bit slow when it comes to decisions.

Short documentary on the front door: it was worn out. Due to the dimensions and the monument protection (and because we didn’t want it either), a store-bought door was out of the question. That’s why it was reconstructed with incredible fiddly work by the carpenter we trust. We managed six weeks in the big city without a front door just fine, the result was convincing, but then the money was gone again...

Very beautiful and lovingly made and apparently also with cheerful confidence and courage to improvise. Great.

Guys, if I had to choose between your priorities, I would know that I prefer the living space of . Even completely without window coverings.
Screw any kind of window darkening when I have this room.
