I searched a long time for chairs that we like AND that are comfortable to sit in AND have armrests. If I had found something cheaper, I would have gone for it. But we really looked at everything available over three years, tried them out, etc. In the end, these outdoor chairs were left. I would have liked a classic cantilever chair too, but my husband didn’t (although the classic cantilever chair isn’t cheaper either).
I had my last chairs for over 25 years (and I still have them now as 4 extension chairs for the end sides), if I have these for as long, then that works for me (and I think they are practically indestructible). In between, we had two somewhat cheaper chairs even with real leather covers, but they were completely worn out within a month – it then felt like sitting on a toilet seat. We just didn’t want to experience that again.
