What do you use as fall protection for the L-shaped stones and towards the street? A hedge, fence, or something else?

Both, hedge and fence, each 1m high. We have no problem with privacy screening. No one can look in from below.

Nice house! It wouldn't fit with the rest of my village now, but in your new housing development, it's great!

Oh yes, one more question about the picture: Can you go out into the open (like a kind of terrace) from the protrusion on the ground floor to the upper floor, or is it just visually extended without direct use above?

Since hardly anyone would want to climb through the window, it is probably meant just for looking at.

Then the cost/benefit factor is not really given – you could have simply made the upper floor a bit bigger and saved on sealing etc. (+ possibly problems with leaks at some point?)

Or is it no longer that expensive or comparable to the problems of earlier flat roofs?

At least it looks good
