Your living room is wonderful. Inside, as well as the view! For a bungalow, a great idea with the Wiederkehre. (Wiederkehre is what we say in southern Germany, no idea what the correct term is?)

I find it rather unbelievable how arrogant some people are here. Some build themselves a nice house for a lot of money and you act as if it were a fourth-rate dwelling because they have surface-mounted belt winder switches. My goodness, some live in a kind of second reality, THAT I find unbelievable. Sometimes you really should think a bit before posting something. Most people in Germany live in small average rental apartments and whether you believe it or not, without KNX, without a double garage, without ceiling spotlights, without glass railings, and what today apparently still is absolutely indispensable.

Some things are simply outdated – that's just the way it is. No one lays cables surface-mounted in the living room anymore (I think so, at least). On the other hand, I find the surface-mounted roller shutter motors rather undramatic. Maybe the criticism is a bit insensitive for a new build, but I find it just as rude to silence someone when they express their (not entirely unjustified) opinion. Apart from that, many supposedly outdated things are sometimes better in the end, because Alexa doesn't immediately order a dollhouse just because you want to raise the roller shutter once.

It certainly wouldn't have been much effort to phrase that less arrogantly

I am fully aware that surface-mounted belt winders are no longer really up-to-date in new buildings. Most people use electric controls anyway... I deliberately did not want that. At the moment we also have surface-mounted belt winders and they simply don't catch my eye, so I don't care. They work and that's it. Whether others find that incredible or not is pretty much irrelevant to me... it's my house and I don't like everything from others here either.

Not? I wish I didn’t have electric shutters either. Actually, I wish I didn’t have shutters at all. I’m just saying man = electrician + admin.
