Sure. The terrain is sloping. Water comes from above, and that’s what we’ll stop there. Compact it a bit more, put stones on it, and our dike is ready. The neighbors on the right have one too, which now merges into ours. The one on the left tries with a ditch, he’ll soon realize that’s no good. He’ll build a dike soon too, bet on it. I imagine it’s funny when everyone has a dike with water running along it and the last one has a ditch. He’s sure to have fun when it rains.

His trench is always overflowing. .... In his mind he is already building a dike. By the way, we never work with retention basins and soak pits here, but connect all drainage channels to the stormwater sewer. It then flows downhill and straight into the harbor. It can't cause any more damage there, it never overflows, well, almost never. Only during a northeast storm.
