Half of the living room is now finished with us. Upstairs, everything is done except for the baseboards and doors. However, we will only install the baseboards next year.

Is there a reason for the baseboards only next year?

In the first year, the house still loses a lot of water. And it comes out at the corners between the wall and floor. Therefore, the recommendation is to install baseboards and pictures later to avoid risking mold. Our weekend was all about the garden house. Meanwhile, the electrician continued the wiring of the control cabinet inside. There are quite a few cables after all. We also received our first staircase on Friday.

Man, Eldea, you guys are really quick... so that's how a construction can go. Congratulations!

I'm glad we're building with wood... Although I often like it very much without baseboards (if the edges are done cleanly), if it could be seamless.

Uh, with the timber frame structure you have the same problem. ( Risiko von Schimmel) Or don’t you have a screed? The moisture mainly comes from below.

We were really lucky with our screed. Poured at the beginning of July when it wasn't quite so hot yet, but already nicely warm. And now it continues to cure for another 2 weeks in these high outside temperatures. Overall, the mostly rain-free and warm period since May was optimal for construction. Now it would already be too hot to work well outside. But in May, it was still very pleasant. Lucky us.
