A clinker facade was mentioned, which (as far as I know) is always installed with insulation. ... Except maybe in cases where the existing walls already provide enough insulation.

The "incorrectness" of the statement is, in my view, limited and if it is taken that precisely, I pay close attention to whether someone wants to understand or not.

The U-value of such a solid brick is somewhere around 1.6. There are much worse ones.
There are even "insulation clinker bricks" or veneers.

It was about the absolute, unfounded statements in which the driver seems to be a specialist.

Uh, cool. Carport or garage? I would also like to green the roof of the carport, if I still have any money left for a carport after the L-stones and filling.

What actually happens to the plants in "normal summers," like 2018-2020? Do they then go into summer dormancy?

They don't have a big problem on a green roof and survive. It just doesn't look quite as green. Incidentally, I am surprised by the high emotional response to the question of insulation of brick or brick facades. A separate thread for that and I'll get chips and beer.

We have considered bands and color highlights on the plaster facade, but the labor time for a painter is enormous and therefore it simply did not make it onto the priority list for the budget.
