Was meant only as a hint/experience report. The product is the Woca Tannin Stain Spray, with us it worked wonderfully. You only have to oil afterwards! We ourselves also have 2cm thick floorboards, so multiple treatments are needed. But if you only have a stain once, it is easier with this, spray on, let it sit, wipe off and wipe again with water. If necessary, repeat and then oil anew.

Good morning, I really like it! Where did you buy the floors? What brand is it?

No idea - we told our house builder that we want oak natural and oiled. He showed us three samples and we chose one.

I'll go to the construction site again tonight, maybe there is something on it. Otherwise, I'll have to ask first.

The floor looks really great and I think you can simply tell that it is real wooden flooring. I find those tiles in wood look creepy, the feel of walking on them is just as bad. Nothing beats natural flooring, better some patina and stains than going for vinyl or wood-look tiles!

As is often the case, a matter of opinion. I also think nothing beats a wooden floor, but if you have small children, you a) only enjoy it briefly and b) have a little nervous breakdown with every scratch and dent. So we have wood-look tiles, expensive ones, which also feel great and look fantastic. And no one who hasn’t just built or is building and therefore dealt with the subject notices that it’s not wood... 90% of the time "oh, great plank floor." Even the stove fitter was uncertain whether it was wood and thus if protection was necessary.

Our younger son wanted "wood-look tiles" in his bathroom. I have to admit that the look is quite good. Real wood somehow in the house of is preferable to me - of course not as a bathroom floor.
