Of course. Lime stains are white. The only thing better is glossy surfaces. You can forget about mop robots. They just spread the dirt around. Nothing against the vacuums, but mopping – forget it. They simply lack water replacement.
I don't think you can say it like that. We have anthracite-colored stoneware tiles in a slate look (I can't find the exact name right now. We built the house 15 years ago). Despite lime-containing water, you hardly see any stains. Dark spots are visible when coffee or another liquid gets on the floor. However, the floor looks almost the same after fresh mopping as before. Some people might not like that. It's matte and never shines.
