Use a different format, if available, or don’t tile up to the ceiling. I would have done the latter.

Then you would have a narrow strip of wall instead of a narrow strip of tile. Might even be more noticeable. But then you have the same pieces on the toilet and washbasin wall and three tiles instead of two over the 1.20 m height. Everything has pros and cons.

You really only think about something like that while you are tiling. After that, no one cares anymore and no one even notices it. You learn that when building a house...

I doubled up with narrow plaster above the tiles... I wanted it flush. My tiles also end at 2.13m... the showerhead under the ceiling, then it wouldn't have been an issue at all. Or hang ceilings around the narrow tile strip... I think it looks strange that way. Splitting the fleece top and bottom would also be an option.

I didn't want floor-to-ceiling tiles from the beginning.

I don't think it looks bad. However, I probably would have still used the light tile from the rest of the bathroom as the upper edge, as a deliberate framing of the shower area.

I often think that about small details! Floor transitions, baseboards, tile cut-offs, etc. at friends’ places? Never paid attention as a normal visitor. Only as a prospective builder/owner do you look at such things.
