In a battle about the "most nerve-racking shell construction," there would be little suspense, I think R.Hotzenplotz would have few contenders :-(

Why the "battle"? I just want to show that construction times under 8 months (both solid construction and timber frame) are definitely realistic and quite doable, without any rush or whip. The saved rent payments go straight into the repayment; small savings, but every little helps. On the other extreme: My sister-in-law plans to let the shell "freeze through" over the winter. What that's supposed to achieve is beyond me, especially since plaster and screed (and thus a lot of water) will only come next year. But she can and wants to afford it. I couldn't.

that was all back in 2017. But yes, the interior was completely finished and the front entrance stairs outside as well. We moved in during the first week of August and the landscaping gardener was finished in September. Since then, there has been nothing left to do

Unfortunately, this often cannot be influenced. There is no reason to complain even with a 9-month construction time.

There isn’t, is there?!? .... We still have work to do after 4 years!

Even more pictures of the ETICS insulation with fire protection battens thanks to the new regulation from 2016 I hope that even after 4 years in the house I still have plenty to do
