As opposed to fixed glazing on the ground floor?

I also really like the idea of the sitting window. Let's see if we can integrate that well in our place…

In the upper floor, I have to be about 3.5m tall to clean. On the ground floor, I just stand in front of it.

We have fixed glazing on the upper floor, but only where the carport is in front and you can clean the window standing on the roof of it. The two sitting windows we have on the upper floor can be opened normally (and thus also cleaned).

When sitting by the window, it certainly also depends on what you have standing in the neighborhood. Our view would be quite unspectacular, either on the neighbor's gable or into their front garden.

And we have the bay window precisely because we have an unobstructed view to the west of fields and forest from there.

Regarding window cleaning... yes, we know it’s not that easy. But that’s what a ladder is for, after all the window isn’t cleaned every week. And twice a year we have someone who professionally cleans all our panes for 150.-€. It’s worth it to us!

Without knowing any statistics, but a window seat probably only makes sense in 0.00001% of cases, if the property allows it. Otherwise, it's just a meaningless bearded hipster trend.

hmm so our property allows it AND I have a full beard.....does that make me a hipster now? Or do I fall into the 0.00001%? Or both? Always this pigeonholing.....

Here is the view in the evening from 9 p.m.:

If someone enjoys sitting by the window and looking across the street or at the new development area, then a window seat there is just as justified as it is with us, it doesn't always have to be the super Alpine valley view just because it's a window seat.
