Acoustics are a property of the environment of sound sources and have nothing to do with the tonal quality of the sound source itself.

It was amazing how our all-purpose room, with its acoustics, led from the HiFi receiver with calibration microphone to a good sound experience (home theater) for TV and music.

Interlübbke Cube and Bulthaup wall-mounted low and sideboards match my taste and the aforementioned design, unfortunately they do not fit my budget at the moment :-(

I have been running a 5.0 setup from KEF on a Yamaha receiver for a few years, tuned via microphone measurement. It is a dream. Every instrument, every voice, every sound effect is pinpoint accurate. It wasn't cheap either, but also for life.

Currently, I tend to order a few wall cabinets with the matching top panel from the kitchen builder, similar to the ones in the hallways but matching the kitchen in Lava. Then I also have my continuous top panel...

Only the Connect Box from the Samsung TV and the Apple TV are connected anyway, so there is no need for glass for an IR remote control. We'll see, that's quite far down on the priority list ;)

Sure, with two devices that can be neglected. With 5 devices no longer. The convenience of a single remote control is brilliant. I press a single button, TV turns on, Surround Receiver turns on, Apple TV turns on. I then operate everything as if it were one device. Doesn't matter. I'm a nerd. I love it.

Correcting the acoustic shortcomings of a room through digital distorters only works within certain limits and is all the more difficult in today’s often deliberately hard-surfaced living spaces. Especially reverb, nodes, etc. cannot really be corrected digitally but require conceptual planning beforehand and appropriate treatment with absorbers and acoustic elements.
