We wanted natural oak in a rather calm decor.
We also came across Merazzi early on, but they all failed in the sample. The desired shades deviated significantly and we didn’t like the surface texture.

Yes, I also find it absolutely not easy. I liked the Velden the best in terms of appearance, but they were super smooth and therefore failed.

No, we have seen the tiles (both variants) in real life under artificial light and daylight, but only on about 1 sqm and not in the "plank size" 1.20x0.20 that we chose.

I understand you pinkiponk … our naked house annoyed me so much, it was not the way I wanted it. Windows too small, roof too red, etc. … but there it stood, naked … houses like we imagine them only come to life through the outdoor facilities and, in our case, through the fixed terrace roof … only then does the picture become complete … just wait and see …

Oak natural, calm decor.... Yes, that's what is envisioned and also preferable. What did you decide on then ? Now I will spend the next few days at the building materials store/tile market/hardware store. And order samples. Unfortunately, we don't have a Hornbach nearby. We are building with a developer, so we can't just buy somewhere else easily. Many thanks for the input, now I have to make something out of it. : I am sure the tiles will look great and you will like them.

Just once for comparison, to show how differently colors and walls appear, even though you probably already know that. I took the two photos about a minute apart with my phone.

The wall color (except for the wall tiles in the bathroom) as well as the floor tiles in both rooms are absolutely identical, but appear quite different in the photos. I find that fascinating, and any small mistakes in color choice are therefore forgiven. ;-) So far, I really like the tiles and walls a lot, even though the green tiles in the bathroom are/ were highly controversial here in the forum. ;-) As soon as the rooms are finished, I’ll take better photos and show them here. :)
