I wouldn't be so sure about that. This also cuts through the reinforcing bars, which could/might have an impact on the structural integrity....

But unfortunately, you do have the noise on every floor. If the dryer starts up at your neighbor's, you might be able to hear it in your bedroom...

So, SBV gives the all-clear from their side. Yes, the base plate could theoretically and practically transmit structure-borne sound. However, our house values are such that this cannot fall below (?) the dB limits of our house in a normally used house. Based on the ground survey, he sees the risk of water ingress with a separated base plate as greater, so he would not recommend this in our case either. From his point of view, this does not represent a cost/benefit ratio.

I hope I have conveyed this correctly.

Probably a reason why I won’t be posting any pictures here of my construction progress. Because someone always finds something and somewhere there is always something controversial that some would have done differently. Doesn’t even have to be negative or nagging from UpperEast now. But then you think to yourself "damn, the sound transfers through the foundation slab" and you pay more attention to it after moving in and eventually even imagine it. If you hadn’t read it here, you might not have even noticed it.

That really cannot be denied.
For this reason, I also did not create a floor plan thread. On the one hand, the floor plan was already set when registering, on the other hand, I wanted to avoid us becoming unsettled when it is already “too late.”
Recently, I did post it after all, but I know that our skin is thick enough by now and we know we did it right for us.
This forum is great and I have taken away an incredible amount of input so far (and certainly also in the future).
In the end, however, you always have to decide for yourself based on your own conviction.

yes, I don't want to say that the forum isn't great. But those who might be vulnerable or sensitive should be careful

And I don't want to say that nobody should upload pictures here anymore. I myself also benefit from it and we are all entertained/stimulated/deterred/amused by the pictures or whatever. But you have to be aware that - especially here in the anonymous Internet - you can also encounter a lot of negativity in all kinds of forms. And that can unsettle you, as already writes.
