You have to try to make the best out of an existing property with the means available :)

The basement (old/new German: laundry room/utility room, man cave/home office, heating cellar/house technology, hallway/entrance and storage rooms/???) is still largely in its original condition and will certainly be renovated in the coming years. Then floors, walls, ceilings, doors, etc. will be adapted to the rest of the house. But before that, there are other, more important projects :). I'm already glad to have the cables in the duct. In "long past days" they partly ran across the room. In the living room/common room, cable ducts would of course be out of the question, meaning: on the walls!

If my sauna finally stands in the garden someday, maybe a new sound system will come into the house ... or a motorcycle (?). Both ... ??? :D

It can happen that at one spot in the room you have almost no bass and at another spot a standing wave that produces a brutal but also impure and boomy bass.

The main thing is that the bass works on the couch :)
It would be fantastic if it stayed there too. But then I would probably have to acoustically decouple the room from the rest of the house.

Fortunately, the plastering was done before the big cold wave, and I was able to ventilate diligently. I am currently installing the heating so that the screed can be laid in March. With the nice weather, it was a good opportunity to take some outdoor pictures again.
