And if not, then at least it’s the same at the bottom, so level.

He had to drill holes, which is more effort with porcelain stoneware. I also noticed the wild pattern but that is a matter of taste, just not mine, so your call.

That's just it, everything happening in the house now, if there are no workmanship errors, is only a matter of taste. @wild pattern: Purely from a craftsmanship perspective, for tiles with a wood look in these dimensions, the only laying pattern is the wild pattern. Aunt Google told me. There are no limits in terms of taste. My brother-in-law had them laid in a half-bond pattern. After 2 rooms he got sick of it and had the children's room done in the wild pattern. A friend of his did it with 5mm joints.

I think the top row was created because the tile on the far left was supposed to connect at the top edge to the white tiles. And therefore ... absolutely ok.

I join KTB and add that presumably the other part of the upper tile will still be attached to the back wall, as the line is already drawn there. The white wall tiles should have been done differently from the beginning if the height is not desired visually after all. But: everything is a matter of taste.

Yes, exactly, a tile will be placed there to reach 120 cm top edge finished floor level. The shelf and tile piece will be white, so only the actual pre-wall front is in wood look.
