I’m adding our fancy building area. Some really have problems with the access road here, but you didn’t have to buy it anyway ;) also about €340 per m² in the western Münsterland was no bargain at the time (in hindsight, of course it was) Nice approximately 3% slope from north to south also results in some quite big clinkers with the L-stones. The yellow is a rainwater retention basin. Planned by the municipality itself, you can already see the lack of competence in some places in my opinion

Often the reasons are: higher costs, personal taste and not someone else's, and then the floor area ratio, if overhang is more than 50cm, it counts towards the built-up area. What do you have against shoeboxes?

Insanity that you have all the roof overhang made of wood? Discussion yes, to be repainted after 5 years if it should stay nice. I actually thought only plastic profiles are used nowadays, even if they are expensive.

That's great, then I can try a different color on this occasion...

And if one wants to largely avoid plastic for sustainability reasons? We have done it that way.

The electricians were busy before the vacation. Except for a few minor things, everything is already done. And on the floor, it looks like much less than expected.

After the discussion, I climbed onto the scaffolding today especially for you and measured the roof overhang. On the gable sides, it is even more than 40 cm, and then the barge tiles will be added (although they will probably almost even out with the exterior plaster?).

On the eaves sides, it is a bit less; I have to see how much comes out when the roof tiles and gutters are finally installed. But actually, I don't really mind at the moment because I now have the plan that the drainage strip will be planted. At least some water must reach it in the wind.
