That's terrible, why is that. I specifically had it agreed in the construction contract that work must begin no later than 4 weeks after the building permit, and from then on there are 5.5 months available.

Our construction company would not have agreed to that. It is a local company and at our time already had a lead time of 9 months, now probably significantly longer. Then our basement was changed from a black tank to a white tank. The new basement is now being subcontracted. Therefore, we are now waiting for the appointment from Glatthaar. The good thing is that this basement will be built faster (at least calculated from the start of construction).

However, our contract states a completion time of 9 months. Although I would have to read exactly whether this applies from the originally agreed date (mid-July to mid-August) or from the new date.

To be honest, I am not sure what would happen if this point were not met.

Our construction company originally wanted 6 weeks, but I negotiated it down to 4 weeks. The 5.5 months construction period was the standard they themselves set. For anything beyond that, there is a kind of compensation percentage, I don't know the exact details off the top of my head.

Winnetou, waiting is completely normal. For us, approval on 31.10.16. Start of foundation slab just before Christmas 2016. Start of bricklaying mid-March 2017. But then they pushed through. Karsten

As written, 4 weeks with me, waiting longer is not possible.

I am curious then. I only know that with us, masonry will begin directly after the basement, as soon as possible. And the craftsmen usually come directly to us or to the neighbor (they are also building with the same contractor)
