I only brought up the objection about cleaning so that those still planning would think about it.

Of course, you can reach the outside with a ladder, but if the window is on the weather side, twice a year is not enough.

It depends on your own standards. The nice thing about windows is that eventually they don't get any dirtier. During my studies, I had an apartment where for some reason the final level of dirtiness was reached after about 2 weeks, so it didn't matter anymore - weekly window cleaning was definitely never an option

I really find it very romantic, it also looks great, but does anyone actually sit on it? And even with 4 people? Don’t you rather sit on the terrace and have the same view? Being four is also much cozier than on a windowsill.

But yes, it is definitely an eye-catcher.

The thing with the four people was just our guideline to actually build it stably. And yes, it can definitely happen that I’m sitting in the window with my wife and each of us has one of the children on our laps....

But that the window seat will be used is beyond question, we are all huge bookworms, and there will be bookshelves on the left and right along the hallway walls. Once the wood paneling and cushions are in place, it will be our new favorite spot!

When I imagine it snowing heavily outside, and I’m sitting in the window seat with a glass of wine where it’s cozy and warm......mmmh I can hardly wait!

Last night, unfortunately, some water came through again due to the rain. It entered through the canopy of the kitchen bay window, apparently from there into the Halox box, then onto the floor and through the cable duct down into the technical room. This is what it looks like there now. The electrical panel was hung up from the floor into the air to prevent any damage. The roofer will come next week to finally finish the flat roofs.

Currently, the flat roof on the garage has been temporarily sealed with a sealing slurry.

Otherwise, the underfloor heating is now completely finished, and the screed layerer will come tomorrow. I think the underfloor heating really makes a good impression. I just hope that the HKV does not get damaged or start to rust due to the water ingress.

Strange theory. Who came up with that? I would definitely argue against it. A window seat is always cool, for those who have space for it, even if I only have the laundry area in front of it.
