I have another shot from my construction site. One of my neighbors had a prefab house made of concrete parts built. The manufacturer or rather the salesperson sold it to him as ready to paint from the inside (that is, without puttying or sanding). Well, said and believed. It's really bitter how people are fooled and simply put in financial trouble. They don't actually benefit from it.

If you’re into the look, you can definitely sell that as move-in ready...

...you mean with all the unfilled joints on the ceiling and wall without plaster and the many half air bubbles in the wall? That was not clear to the builder. Just mind cinema. The salesperson says something, you imagine it differently, don’t ask if it is really like that and then you have the mess. We will not plaster our ceilings but at least I have planned people for filling, sanding and painting.

A colleague of mine built a flat-roof bungalow from semi-finished parts, inside it has walls and ceilings of plain concrete with open joints. Along with large oak floorboards, it’s quite something. If you expect something different or maybe the customer is intentionally misled, that’s just unfortunate.

A little update from me again. At the beginning of the week, our heating was "activated," connected by the electrician, and put into operation.

So far, everything is still running quite smoothly and properly. Hopefully, it will stay that way for a long time.

The painter is busy sanding and priming. At the beginning of next week, the first two rooms on the ground floor are supposed to be "ready for painting."

In the meantime, our tiler has already made our cladding wall in the living area. We really like it.

Next week, the drywall installer is supposed to finish on the upper floor so that the painter and tiler can also do their work there.

Slowly but surely, it’s heading toward the home stretch. After 8 months of construction time so far, you eventually want to move into your new home.

I like the living room!
8 months with or without a basement? Without a basement, that would be far too long for me.
