...where it should then also be irrelevant whether one bills a flat rate or by the hour [emoji6] Why do you doubt the competence of publicly appointed and sworn experts? Had bad experiences?

“The public appointment certifies that an expert is particularly qualified in a specific field. Furthermore, publicly appointed experts are sworn to act independently and impartially. [...] Only specialists with outstanding qualifications are publicly appointed. To receive the seal of approval of the public appointment, they must undergo an elaborate examination process. Afterwards, their work is under constant supervision by the appointment body commissioned by the state (in Germany these are primarily the chambers of architects, chambers of crafts, chambers of industry and commerce, chambers of engineers, chambers of agriculture). This also means that already publicly appointed experts can lose this status again – if their qualifications no longer meet current requirements. In addition, publicly appointed experts are also assessed as to whether they are trustworthy and personally of integrity. Only then are they allowed to carry the coveted quality seal.” Source: IHK Schleswig-Holstein

Yes, I know how to become an expert and how complicated the process is. Once you have made it, you earn real money

And what exactly is your point again? Surely not envy, right? So what are you trying to get at then?! [emoji4]
I haven't had any bad experiences so far. With you, it sounds like it's different. Or is it about what such an expert charges? If that's the case... well, no one is forcing you. If you don't like the consideration, you don't have to.
Personally, I think around 1% of the construction sum is quite a good investment when you consider how expensive poor workmanship or similar can be. But everyone has to decide for themselves.

So, something has happened at the house again.

Today the invoice arrived for the construction of the exterior walls on the ground floor and the ceiling above the ground floor. However, there is still the following gap in the ground floor wall, as can be seen in the first photo. Quite a bit has already happened on the upper floor as well. Should one still complain that the wall needs to be completed before the invoice is paid? Or would that be too petty? I also have to confirm to the bank for the payment authorization that the construction status corresponds to the advertised facts.

How should the completion of the masonry garage, which is connected to the main building, be viewed in this regard? Nothing has happened there yet and the garage is also not listed separately in the payment schedule. To which category does it belong if not to the ground floor exterior walls?

On May 14th, the construction of the roof frame was actually supposed to begin. Considering the current construction status, I find that unlikely to impossible, even if full work is resumed tomorrow.

Is a support going there?

For payment plans, it is naturally useful if the construction progress remains consistent with that and does not take a different course. Garage yes, it would have been logically ground floor earlier - but today, due to thermal separation, it can make sense to build it up like an annex, even if it was planned from the beginning. Comparable to the "cellarless annex" at Axel. H.

That would be a possible reason. I'm just kindly asking.
