Yes, I agree on the path layout.
Our toaster is ready to use in the pantry, the coffee machine can stay outside and will eventually be replaced by a fancy commercial coffee machine, which hopefully will be so nice that it can and may stay outside.
Since the kitchen island is reachable from the bench at the dining table, the toaster is perfectly placed there; we don’t want to have to stand up to toast. Coffee is made by a non-automatic machine that makes quite a mess but wonderful coffee. Of course, the Barbara behind the splash guard of the cooktop must not be missing, and a few cooking oils are also ready. It makes for a somewhat cluttered but practical corner. Oh yes: boiling water comes from the Grohe Red here – but I think I will prefer the Quooker "next time," since the Red had to be reset several times already (fuse off and on) and has also had some customer service experience.
