Affordable Corten steel raised beds are available at Bauhaus. You always have to think about the base because it flakes/washes off downward. Or apply clear varnish once the desired look is achieved. There are products online that create the rust look within 1-2 days. Then lacquer over it and done.

Corten steel against snails You gave me an idea. The snails are eating everything. The flower boxes now have copper strips, but they just don't stick to sandstone. A strip of [Cortonstahl] around all the beds would be suitable. I'll ask what 20-25 cm high [Cortonstahl] costs. I would initially need about 10 - 15 m.

I even found quite decent deals on Amazon now... let's see.

Paint over the rust? And that holds??? I have to look that up online...

Search for KDB Corten steel. They have a whole range and I think also a few videos. You can also buy as a private customer (with a few exceptions).

Friends of ours also have things from Gartenmetall, just occurred to me. You can also nicely browse the site there!

off Topic - Alternative to Corten steel against snails: stretch 2 iron wires 2 cm apart parallel around the bed and connect a 9V battery. The snails turn back. Very inexpensive.
