I can't see anything in the joint pattern, it looks good to me. The problem with the insulation strips is that glue and joint compound run under the tile all the way to the wall, and then you have a major sound issue. The solution is simple: before installing the baseboards, let everything drain and check. You can easily fix such spots with a utility knife and screwdriver.

Of course, that works too, but it is more tedious than taping off beforehand or leaving edge insulation strips.
Again, regarding the joint pattern since so many are interested.
It is good that the tiles were laid in a basketweave pattern because 60x60cm tiles always cup.
My objection referred to the inaccurate joint line. This could possibly also be related to the quality (calibration value) of the tile, therefore my choice of words might have been wrong and the tiler might not be able to make it more precise and therefore could not use a leveling system. We don’t know!!!
But you will always have protruding tile corners, and this can be annoying when barefoot.

So I don't see any joint pattern that doesn't fit and I am picky. Where exactly do you mean? It surprises me a bit because my tiler is rather known for his meticulousness. He completely tore down the casing of the WC tank because he measured slightly wrong. I wouldn't have noticed.

Hi blaupuma, as far as I can tell just from the photo, the photo was taken during installation, as you can see that adhesive has been combed at the back. If this is the case, you can also see that no leveling system is being used. You don’t necessarily need one, but you can’t get concave tiles (which 60x60 always are) to the same level at all four corners any other way. I’m glad you were lucky and found a good tiler, and as I said, maybe it’s not his fault because the tiles’ calibration value (usually indicated with a code on the tile package) is not particularly good. Then he’s doing the best he can with it. I only saw a non-accurate grout pattern (related to the grout line) in the picture and no leveling system or edge insulation strip. Those were three points that didn’t make sense to me at first. There were tips about the edge insulation strip, and the other points have more factors that we don’t know.
