We are also currently in the middle of preparing the paving. It involves about 200 sqm of contiguous area (driveway, carport, and connecting surfaces). Basically, we wanted to do everything ourselves because that worked very well in other paving projects with friends.
Since time is now pressing, we will subcontract the preliminary work. The offer for the earthworks (excavating 200 sqm, storing soil on the side, compacting, and bringing in 60 cm of crushed concrete) is just under €2000 + taxes. For stones, up to €20/sqm gross, €4000 is budgeted. Additional items such as edges, drains, etc. €1000, making a total of just under €8000.
In this context, we are also subcontracting the rainwater infiltration. 2 concrete shafts including gravel, pipes, etc. are offered at €2500.
Thus, everything will be done with own labor and provisioning of helpers at a maximum of €12,000. Compared to other amounts, this seems to be in the lower price range.
