After my terrace was finally finished, I tackled the remnants for the redesign of the entrance area, which had somewhat aged. The old granite-covered entrance platform received a modern surface, and the concrete slabs from the 60s have given way to a natural wooden entrance area. Lined by a bed full of blooming plants-

I have stayed away from wood - but in my opinion, there is nothing against WPC... I just thought about it: the grill deck is now over 10 years old and always looks like new after a quick brushing and rinsing with clear water (no chemicals or similar)...

a) why no wood? b) WPC has disadvantages (except that it is very easy to clean - feels like a plastic floor). If you take hollow chamber boards, you have to screw the substructure because otherwise the boards warp. It also looks "artificial". I don't like it at all (I have a side terrace with WPC that I will also throw out for these reasons). But yes, you can also use WPC if you like that stuff ;)
