Why does the washing machine plug look so unsightly coming out of the countertop? It could have been hidden behind the appliance...

Because it was not yet decided during the electrical planning that it was going to be a laundry room. Originally, only the washing machine was planned, and the plug would have been okay at that height. Now it is solved with such a desk grommet cover, which I prefer rather than eventually having to cut out the [AP].

The topic of plaster is bothering us.
We have now had 5 samples. The curious thing is, one that we had first and found terrible we now like the most. We actually quite like it.
The tricky thing with these materials is that they look completely different depending on the light and location.

Besenstrich, my pet project, we want that too. We even advertised it analogically. Do you really want vertical? Usually, Besenstrich is horizontal. I like the smaller pattern, but to me it would be too weak. As you write, the difference is not noticeable from a bit of a distance. Do you have a picture of the whole house?
