Yes, I also find it extremely unfortunate, but unfortunately it doesn't help. It will be completely glazed, so at least it will still feel a little bit open.
Unfortunately, due to home office, I have to close my studio. Home office + children + open space do not go well together :p
I would rather try to make it "mobile" at least, because this area was deliberately chosen as a kind of character of the house, and you will miss it later. The behavior of the children changes........ or maybe there is an option for an office in the garden? At least for the time when the children are in the house. Before I remodel it for a lot of money and disadvantages regarding the spatial effect, I would actually check ALL other options first.
Glass? Then you see the raging children and they see you oh dear, in any case, for the future, due to this pandemic, an office for many home office candidates will become mandatory in planning.

That's how it will be, but I can lock the door :p The dismantling won't be a problem later.

I just have the situation here.... without children. I’m sitting in the living room and a good way ahead my wife is on the phone. The wide glass door is closed. Still, you can hear it, playing children much more clearly, you probably won’t get a “real” quiet just from glass alone.
