And it goes on ...

In the meantime, the strip foundations for the house's floor slab were poured:

Then the work on the floor slab continued:

And the floor slab is finished:

We were positively surprised at how quickly the floor slab was constructed. Now we hope that things will proceed promptly.

Just before Easter, the formwork for the basement walls was set up:

View from the outside:

Installing the reinforcement for the concrete wall takes quite a lot of time. However, it was completed before Easter.

Tomorrow, the built-in components for the electrical installation will be installed, and then the formwork can also be applied inside.

I learned today that the sand-lime brick elements of the foundation wall will not be wrapped again. Even if they absorb water, it does not matter because they are not connected to the house. The inspector who approved the basement tonight was also not bothered by it and rated the project as very neat and had no complaints. He will come back in about three weeks when the shell including the roof truss is completed without occupancy. He was amazed that it is progressing so quickly. Tomorrow the basement will be wrapped in the perimeter insulation, and the day after tomorrow and Friday it will be backfilled......

R. Hotzenplotz, you guys are really moving at a good pace. That’s how I would have liked it. Today, our cellar was supposed to be insulated. But the insulator ran off again - the space between the floor slab and the ground wasn’t enough for him. Actually, the shell builders were supposed to fix that two weeks ago and I had even done some touch-ups myself on Saturday. But apparently that wasn’t enough. Today I spoke with the construction manager that the shell builders have to fix it. Now it’s getting delayed by another two weeks...

We only had delays due to frost. Otherwise, things are progressing well. They are even working on Saturdays. Now I am curious how they manage to build the ground floor / upper floor so quickly.

The shell construction is always completed quickly, what takes a long time is the interior work.
