The staircase looks very good and is perfect as a place to put on shoes. I really like the stair tile in the wooden floor on the upper floor. Nice detail. And of course the stair cabinets turned out great.

So, now we finally also have a handrail on the stairs:





and the railings on the two stair cupboards KZ and bedroom in the attic are finally installed as well:





The carpenter also built us a bathroom cabinet into the niche.

That's awesome! As far as I remember, this is the first house here in the forum that completely suits my taste. 100%, not one detail that I don't like. It has really come together perfectly!

The idea came from the fact that we wanted to use the two rooms in the attic but didn’t want to waste space on a proper staircase and didn’t want a classic folding staircase either. Our little one should be able to use the room above her room as a playroom and later, if she wants, as a bedroom.
The room above the bedroom is currently used as a storage room but could be used anytime as a reading room or whatever.
They were custom-made by a carpenter company.
I can gladly provide photos later.

Basically, you understood that correctly. The attic has a partition wall and therefore consists of two rooms, each accessible through a staircase cupboard. However, there is a door in the partition wall that connects both rooms. We had to do it this way because of the escape route, as the larger room has a roof window used by the fire department for access.
