Wow. That’s the nice thing about building a house, you see how everything gets more and more beautiful step by step. And depending on mood and desire, you can achieve a different effect with just a few simple steps.

works for us only because of the large property and the view of the field. One half of the living room is completely covered with windows, and I imagine that would be rather difficult in a "typical" new housing development.

We will also have a view of the field and forest at the back and have decided on several patio doors instead of full glazing. I would have preferred even more, but since I am also paying attention to symmetrical distribution (ground floor and upper floor) on each exterior wall, it wouldn’t have fit with the floor plan upstairs. As soon as I have meaningful documents, I will post them here, you surely have good ideas on how I can circumvent the laws of physics.

The best architects break symmetry for a good cause and the view remains wonderful. If you prefer living inside and looking outside instead of the other way around, I would sacrifice symmetry anytime for a good view.
