We would also like to have a sauna integrated, but unfortunately we don't have the money for it at the moment. But that will come eventually.

May I ask what the sauna will cost you including installation into the sloping roof, etc.?
Am I correct in understanding that you will also have a window in the sauna?

The cost estimate was around €8,000. The advantage with the wooden house builder: he does that too.

Yes, there is a window in the sauna. We wanted it to be bright - my original dream was a double casement window in the sauna (a fixed one, not to be opened), but we gave that up. Now I just look out from the bathtub at the starry sky and from the sauna into the greenery (there are many trees in front of the bathroom windows, and in summer it is really green - in winter we look into the branches).

I have fibromyalgia and often severe joint pain, and warmth is good for me (for some people it’s rather cold) - that’s why I insisted on the sauna.

Yesterday, the civil engineers were here. It was once again a close call with a mini-catastrophe... I had put pressure on the sanitary company several times to keep their promised appointments (the boss had forgotten to order material over Easter), because the civil engineers are coming on April 29th and before that, there must be screed in the house so that the civil engineers can get to the multi-utility connection. I repeatedly referred the sanitary company to April 29th, and then yesterday came the notice from the civil engineers that they still need the seals from the sanitary company, otherwise they will leave immediately again. I didn't know anything about this, I called, "uh ... yeah ... coming right away ... didn't know about April 29th."

Lucky break... the civil engineers schedule appointments with a maximum of 6 weeks' lead time. Heating up the screed would have become interesting...

Can someone tell me what the orange cable on the upper/right PE pipe is? I didn't want to disturb the guys during their lunch break because of my curiosity... at the multi-utility connection, at the intended fiber optic connection, an orange and green cable each are coming out.

The final amount is slowly becoming clear to me and it looks like about €20k (€10k from the financing and €10k saved from last year) will remain. The final bill from the shell builder has also arrived. With the Schiedel chimney + fireplace, the L-stones & the terrain modeling, it amounts to exactly €164k + €4.2k for the landfill. The plasterer and the plumber are still a slight unknown. But it could balance out.

We will now also tile the entire ground floor in wood-look tiles and not mix it with laminate in the living area.

I assume so too. The only question is whether reason will prevail and the rest will go into the special repayment or if it will be a terrace roofing + finishing the garden, because the outdoor area was also 90% included in the financing.
