Pad foundations. What goes on top?

No panic, they are pad foundations, as Alex already said. I would guess that somewhere there ends or runs over a wall for a garage, carport or extension. Or an abutment for a canopy/overhang...

Do you know if they were shuttered? We also use two pieces in the area of the carport/extension. They simply place two 65cm inspection shafts and fill them with unreinforced concrete. Seems cheaper than shuttering. Whether it then looks like that, I don’t know, hence the question. But they also look like concrete rings...

What kind of walls are those that stand somewhat wildly in the pit in the last picture? They don’t seem to have any contact with the rest of the building? The front wall somehow looks like it is about to topple over. Optical illusion, or?

Nice that things are progressing well with you. [emoji1303][emoji4]For us, it is finally supposed to start with the floor slab in week 16 – original date week 46 (2017)...

There will be the kitchen bay window.

Unfortunately, I can't answer that because I didn't know anything about it until now and saw it for the first time. Presumably, it is included in the extra of the static foundation wall.

That is a foundation wall constructed due to the partial basement. Above it, among other things, the hallway of the ground floor will later be located. The slanted wall must be an optical illusion (wide-angle shot).

Otherwise, everything actually looks good; but the decisive thing is what the expert from the Association of Private Builders says on Tuesday. Hopefully, he won't find any defects, because otherwise it won't be backfilled on Wednesday.

The topping-out ceremonies sound great! Now I also feel like having one[emoji1]

Here with us, there are cables and slots and a finished intermediate ceiling and a stairwell with a railing to admire inside it [emoji1]

Oh I think that’s great, I’m just wondering how you organize something like that? Unfortunately, I only know the neighbors on the right and left by name so far....

Often with community developments, you have all the names. Semi-detached houses, terraced houses, a common general contractor, shared concerns create cohesion and solidarity.
In our case, the monastery chamber always ran a mailing list to every leaseholder (until someone complained about data protection).

Otherwise, we always smiled at all the builders who, like us, were seen on the construction site.
You also have to send signals and spend time in front of the walls. My husband eventually always held two beers in his hands and "visited" other men. Beer bonds people together.

For the topping-out ceremony, we printed flyers in A5 and placed them in the construction sites or mailboxes.
