No, weight doesn't matter. A customer of mine sells teak furniture. They are all made in Indonesia and shipped whole (in containers) to Europe. You can tell where they come from (machines like ours from 100 years ago). Maybe it depends on the type of wood? Where the wood grows is where it's produced?
