That the clinker paving is now slippery cannot be confirmed by my colleague. Obviously, "it probably depends." EDIT: By the way, he got his clinker paving for €17/sqm. The concrete paving I chose is supposed to cost €21/sqm.

We have decided on Kronimus K4 "Ökopflaster" black/white marbled. The eco aspect was not a criterion, but rather the appearance, the format, and the price.

For us, even a gravel path counts as "sealed" – with the note about a particularly complex drainage situation on the municipal road and the possibility to freely design the driveway later. Consequence: 23 cubic meters of soakaway installed. Surely we could have argued, but we didn't feel like it – especially since all contacts in the municipality of Lindlar and the Oberberg building authority are quick, attentive, thoughtful, and easily reachable.

Dirt is just matter in the wrong place. What is "wrong" is ultimately a matter of taste. I find a path with a certain patina much nicer than an unnaturally "clean" surface.

I really like grass paver solutions with plastic grids. Unfortunately, these are quite expensive. We will live with gravel for a while and only do the first 10-15 meters of the driveway with it for now.

A gravel driveway is a nice thing and something for the long term in my opinion.

ever seen a grass stone surface that was also green? In my opinion, just a sham. There is a new development area here where the builders were encouraged to use it, but everyone declined. It is used in public spaces, and as expected, dirt accumulates there, but certainly no grass.
