May I ask where you got the wood from? We want something very similar and are currently looking around accordingly

On Ebay Kleinanzeigen there is an apparently part-time reclaimed wood dealer near Aachen (in Belgium) called Kris Wood. We took this piece experimentally on one of our "forays". It is oak wood. I sanded it and treated it with a brass brush to make the texture stand out more clearly and then glazed it, then cut and fitted it.

How did you plan the mirror? Would plan it in the same wood, chisel out the middle, and set the glass in.

The mirror will be frameless and very simple. The room is very small at 1.24 x 1.44. The mirror should only visually enlarge slightly. The ceiling lighting will be a backlit stretch ceiling with a picture - this opens the room upwards in a fun way. Pictures will follow when everything is finished.

Nothing was forgotten there. You just only know your own. To shed some light on the matter, the U-values of the components are... The building envelope is just about KfW55 and still far from a 40 standard house. Even with a 42.5 brick, KfW40 would not be achievable without further construction measures. Ok, it still seems unusual to me. Most 36.5 cm brick houses settle somewhere around 0.3x. For example, all U-values in my case are slightly better than yours (wall 0.2, roof 0.13, floor 0.2, etc...), yet my Ht is somewhere around 0.30.
