the pool is huge for that...what a load the ceiling must bear there. I quite like it this way too, you have to like parquet in the kitchen... Are there pictures from the other sides of the house as well?

Parquet flooring in the kitchen is great, we had it in the last rental apartment. Much more comfortable to stand on than tiles, but I don’t like tiles anyway.

Yes, I know, that is one of the few things that came from the old rental apartment. Probably a bigger one is needed, or a screen... we’ll see. About the parquet, yes, also in the kitchen, but there is a small rug when cooking. At the moment we are constantly barefoot, it is simply super comfortable and not cold either.
