But no 800mm high front from Ikea fits there either – right?

Otherwise, I find HomeConnect quite OK. I usually turn on the machine when the photovoltaic system generates enough electricity. But yes, it’s a gadget (but many people play with it – right?)

P.S. I hope / expect to manage with about 1000€ for household electricity, hot water and heating for approximately 135m² of living space in 2 residential units (passive house with ground source heat pump + controlled residential ventilation + photovoltaic) ;)

Of course, I won’t be exchanging the machine now either; I will simply solve the "problem" since I was practically caught off guard regarding the Ikea / Siemens issue that was unknown to me until then.

But we’re drifting lightly off topic … :p

Ok, thought maybe there is something really obvious... If it's intentional playing around, I can understand that.

Leave a few cm above the countertop and cover it up later, and also move the front so that the gap on top remains as an overhang. Then it should also work with that one.

Search on Youtube for "Ikea Geschirrspüler passt nicht - Erklärung zum Umbau bei vollintegrierten Geschirrspülern" ersatzteilshopTV. It is explained there and I hope I don't get banned now

It depends.

The Home Connect standard can, for example, also communicate with the SMA inverter and thereby operate an optimized photovoltaic system.

I initially used it with us, but not anymore, so it's more of a gimmick now ;)

Yes, the property doesn't really need much. Maybe it can save a maximum of one euro, rather less (it doesn't need 3 KWh per cycle, does it?), my property only runs like every 2 days in my single household. It makes more sense in other places (my new car (MX30) is ordered and the wall box with priority switching is definitely more worthwhile.

It is really amazing what family makes. I also have a 45 square meter plot in my condominium. When I was alone, I had trouble filling it up before it got smelly. Today I could run two machines every day. And that's even though we're only one and a half people more. Well, the little animals too, but their dishes are limited, or are mostly washed by hand.

Off topic: Yes, it does. That’s what the hinge is for. The front virtually slides upwards when you open the dishwasher. There are small videos from manufacturers about that.
