The drainage is, as probably expected, in the roof, and the drainage flows from the facade at the back into the downpipe.

Then the connection to the downpipe has a smaller diameter than the downpipe itself. The classic box also acts as an extension; until now I assumed this had a functional reason that was necessary, but perhaps that only applies to "large" roof surfaces.

I wouldn't know which one, the decisive factor for the flow rate is always the point with the smallest diameter, isn't it?
