Tumaa, that was also our plan, but then we decided on Venetian blinds everywhere for aesthetic reasons. I was always afraid that it wouldn't be dark enough in the bedroom (there is a streetlight directly in front of our property and in front of the bedroom), but for the rooms that really need to be dark, we have a special profile of the slats so that the blackout is also right (I think it's called Z-profile).

I'm curious if it really is as promised - I need it to be dark in the bedroom.

We were at a window supplier yesterday ...... they showed us the different types of venetian blinds, the Z-slats are supposed to make it even darker, as you already said....... we'll see, maybe I'll get an offer for the complete set

Unfortunately no. The Z-profile does not completely darken, you won’t get around having a curtain if you really want it dark. We did the same.

The bedroom has access to the loggia upstairs, so we have roller shutters on the door to outside, venetian blinds on the window! We would definitely do it that way again. Warema S-lamella. Totally free of rattling and quiet, I had imagined it worse – especially in the wind. And we are up on the mountain with a lot of wind!
In the guest room (ground floor) also roller shutters, because right in front of the room there is a small parking lot. Also (of course, just imagination, but whatever...) for a bit more "security" than venetian blinds. Everything else venetian blinds – facing north we waived two pieces because at that time we could not really estimate the total costs. So far the only mistake we have already regretted. Venetian blinds everywhere would have been better! Even if only for the look, because privacy or sun protection at the windows is superfluous. Oh well. Unfortunately too late.

Thank you very much! That’s often how life goes... we could also have well imagined a house like yours, but were not allowed on this lot because of very strict building codes (we "had to" build a flat roof). We also really like your house!
There are no plans here, we don’t want to make such things public. But I can post a few photos when I get the chance.

The raised bed is made of Corten steel! Negative: expensive, positive: no snails on the salad leaves
Next to the corten bed there is also a bench made of steel, when the terrace is completely presentable I’ll take a photo of it!

I don't need a dark room, I also leave at least half of our conventional blinds so that these holes still let light through. I expected that it wouldn't darken completely, we'll see if it's enough for me anyway.
