It's just like in a greenhouse. In summer, you open everything that can be opened, otherwise you get cooked (and the house heats up). Definitely install external sun protection!

In summer we had a sun sail under the roof, and all the sliding doors open. Then it is bearable. Doors on the house are always closed in summer anyway.

Long-term, maybe a rooftop awning will be added.

5x4m. I don't think it needs to be smaller. Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to place much besides the table.

For my taste, the entire terrace could be a cold winter garden. But costs, cleaning effort, permits, shading, etc.. that then becomes expensive and complicated.

So the plumbing area has now been started, as well as the first two exhaust air accesses on the upper floor. They really look strange. We are currently wondering if that is a cover [emoji848]
