At last, work in the garden is progressing. Over the past two weeks, I have been armed with a shovel and wheelbarrow, digging through half the garden and moving tons of soil, mineral concrete, and concrete. A few stones and concrete steps were involved as well. I am very satisfied with the result – and even more importantly, so is my wife.
The stones (dolomite) were a lucky coincidence. Our local gravel and concrete supplier had a pallet of the stones on the truck when he delivered a big bag of concrete to us. Saw them, fell in love, and bought them immediately on the same day. They arrived the next day.
Tomorrow, construction of the wooden terrace begins. I still have one week of vacation left, and it should be finished by then.
