I find the walnut furniture beautiful. Due to the large house and the many windows, they are not overwhelming. I would not have thought of inspecting a farmhouse afterwards.

Big compliments, a really great house, obviously planned with a lot of attention to detail! I find the contrast between the floor, walls, and the walnut very beautiful! Are the floor-to-ceiling doors custom carpenter solutions or from one of the standard manufacturers? In which region of Germany is your house located?

It will certainly look different again when it is really furnished and inhabited.

To me, the house already looks furnished and inhabited like this… interesting how perceptions vary so much depending on personal taste. For us, it looks similarly puristic with light gray flooring, a black tall cabinet wall, and a walnut island block, furniture in the living/dining area also walnut. Windows also floor-to-ceiling height, dark wood inside, black outside. Handles also black. For some, this is too clean and uncozy; we feel comfortable this way. I don’t like having a lot of decorations lying around nor too many colors, that feels too hectic for me. But I can definitely find that nice and enjoy looking at it for others; for example, I like a particular hotel that always decorates lavishly at Christmas and Easter. I always look forward to that, but I wouldn’t want to live like that, it quickly becomes too much for me.

For me it somehow has a touch of Rietveld,

was unknown to me until now, but because of the cantilevered roof there are indeed similarities.

The roof itself is a solid construction, the concrete slab is connected using Isokörbe and heavy-duty dowels, attached is an impression of the reinforcement in the area of the glass corner.



The interior doors are from the carpenter; I do not know of any industrial manufacturer that offers solid wood doors in this size and design.

And of course the house has already been inhabited since the end of last year. As mentioned, we like a tidy environment, the furnishing disciplines us additionally, things disappear in cabinets and storage rooms when needed. Attached are a few proof photos.
