your house isn’t finished yet. There are only the 4 walls standing. The outdoor area is not for concealment; it belongs to the design like the furniture. Without it, the 4 walls don’t become a complete unit. A bit of a cottage garden look and it feels completely different. Uneven paved path, white fence with lavender, roses, foxglove, columbine stretching their blossoms toward the street side, a beautiful rose arch at the front door, a climbing rose between 2 windows, a hollyhock thriving in front of a window, outdoor lamps that still look like they need kerosene filled. Use old cultivars that match the desired look.
