The handrail was my wish because the light from the TV would have reflected on the glass edge, and that bothers us when we sit on the couch and watch TV.
Visually, I would have of course preferred it without the handrail.

@borderpuschel: how do you do it then: you set the temperature on the thermostat and only press one of the three buttons at the top for a variant of the rainshower shower and if you want the handheld shower, you press the lower button. But the shower at the top does not turn off, instead the handheld shower comes on in addition, right?

Us too, and I have seen it so often in various model homes. Also in public buildings, by the way. But once again, typically German - everything has to be regulated.

correct!!!!!!!! You can also turn on all three spray types above and additionally the handheld shower. However, you will notice this in the water flow because you only have a 20mm pipe as the supply line, which allows only a certain amount of water (I don't know offhand) through.

The plumber will be back next week - I will discuss it with him again. What you say sounds logical. And actually, as I said, the two-part drain was also planned for the tub. That had me suspicious anyway.

The glass with or without handrail is quite a thing. I haven't installed ours yet either, I'm also undecided. I like it better without, and since I have illuminated our glass, the effect without the handrail is also nicer. But you also see a lot more fingerprints, which would probably be much less with a handrail since you tend to let your hand glide over it.
