You can have the colors mixed at the specialty store in the quality you want! Regardless of which color fan they come from! I sometimes got color cards at the hardware store because I liked the colors so much (Alpina Feine Farben) and then the color was mixed as silicate accordingly - they can get the recipes for that!

Here quickly from my home office spot Overall, you can't see any difference compared to painted walls. I took a close-up photo of the stair railing. You might be able to see how fine the surface is. You just have to be aware that the walls sand (lime plaster) but we wanted to keep the natural surface as long as possible. With paint, the texture changes as well (then the sand grains are "smeared" - everything looks a bit smoother). The shower got paint, so the plaster looks a bit smoother there...
